</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Matthew Swafford, 90, McLeansboro, died 7:12 a.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at Hamilton Memorial Nursing Center, McLeansboro.

Private funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2011, at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. Roger Ash and the Rev. Robert Sefried officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2011, at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Swafford; two daughters; a son-in-law; a sister; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
