Family and friends will agree that when Betty walked into the room, she brought liveliness and excitement with her. In her childhood days, she earned the title of "Little Miss Shirley Temple" while performing in school plays. She took great pleasure in using her musical talents with the Hancock Family Singers, and at her home church, Liberty Baptist, where she was a member for 60 years. Betty was a member of the Home Extension and the Toast Masters International.

Graveside services will be held at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2011. The Rev. Darrel Ford will officiate. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
