Marita Louise (Dutton) McSparin
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Marita Louise (Dutton) McSparin, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 13, 2011. She passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side.
She was born Jan. 9, 1939, in Chicago to Joseph and Edna (Egalston) Dutton.
On July 2, 1955, she married Robert McSparin at the Social Brethren Church in Eldorado. Marita was a wonderful wife and mother who leaves behind her husband Robert and four children, Joseph (Gloria) McSparin of Fredericksburg, Texas, Deanna (Jesse) Smith of Lebanon, Ohio, Marguerita (Thomas) Pearce of Eldorado and Kathleen (David) Volkening of Galatia; and a sister, Donna Hoffard of Eldorado.
Grandchildren include Joseph (Jenny) McSparin Jr., Timothy (Jenny) McSparin, Nathan McSparin, Michael McSparin and Johnny McSparin, all of Texas, Aimee (Travis) Burch of Indiana, Leah (Jordan) Parker, Ben Smith and Addison Smith, all from Ohio, Erin Spivey from Houston, Texas, Ryan Spivey of Eldorado, Bethany Deuel and Nick Volkening of Galatia and a stepgranddaughter, Sarah (Gary) Hileman of Missouri. Great-grandchildren include Josie McSparin of Texas, Bailey Burch of Indiana, Cooper and Lily Park of Ohio; and great-stepgrandchildren, Caleb and Mackenzie Hileman of Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Genevieve Crisel; and a great-grandson, Eagan Nathaniel Chandler, son of Erin Spivey and James Chandler of Texas.
Marita leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to God and her family. She was a kind-hearted woman who showed unconditional love and strength to her family. Her faith only increased during these last few years of physical pain. She fought the good fight and is "home" now waiting for us to join her some day soon.
A public visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at Watson Funeral Home, followed by a family graveside service preceding burial at Wolf Creek Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and left at the funeral home.
