OBITUARY: Carolyn Sue McDonald
Carolyn Sue McDonald, nee Abell, 62, born Aug. 21, 1952, in Eldorado, passed away on Monday, Feb. 2, 2015, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Belleville.
Carolyn was a registered nurse for over 35 years at St. Elizabeth's Hospital. She was a member of the Queen of Peace Catholic Church, and she loved going to flea markets, the Rams and the Cardinals. She was a great, loving and devoted, wife, mother and grandmother.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Lambert and Louise, nee Hish Abell; and a brother, Robert (Bob) Abell.
Surviving are her loving and devoted husband, Peter McDonald; son, Joshua (Traci) Stone of Farmersville; stepson, Ross (Jessica) McDonald; grandchildren, Addison Joy Stone and Taylor McDonald; siblings, John (Ruth) Abell of Teutopolis, Thomas Abell of Belleville, Charlie Abell of Eldorado, Helen Abell of Edwardsville, Wanda (David) Hayes of Marion, Mary Ann (Jim) Pankau of Champaign, Kathy (Bob) Sims of Bonita Springs, Fla., Alice Griswold of Eldorado and Linda (Dirk) Tierney of Atlanta, Ga.; a sister-in-law, Nancy Abell of Charleston; and a special and devoted friend, Sharon (Darrell) Reiher.
