Young voices raise in song at Carrier Mills Grade School

Carrier Mills-- The Carrier Mills-Stonefort grade school held the annual Spring Music Review on Thursday morning.

Music instructor Daryl Varble lead his students in their musical performance, once again providing a morning of song and music for families and friends of the students. The students from kindergarten through fourth grade started the show with a selection of seven Disney songs such as "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" from "Mary Poppins." Smiling and grinning, the junior high choir joined the younger students singing this song.

The junior high choir entertained the listeners with a multi-song set tracing the history and development of rock-n-roll with songs like "We Built this City" and "Bohemian Rhapsody" eliciting rounds of applause from the watching families and friends of the students.

Varble then spoke about this year's annual musical the school, "Robin Hood." Varble asked all the grade school students who sang for the musical to join the junior high and high school choirs in singing a selection from the musical with high school student Gabe Motsinger performing a solo piece.

The high school choir wrapped up the review with three songs.

"This is one of the best high school choirs we have had," Varble said in his introduction to this segment. "I want you all to enjoy their performance."
