Dick A. Brooks
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Dick A. Brooks, 67, of Galatia, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at the Harrisburg Medical Center.
Dick was married to Sandra S. Brooks of Galatia on April 30, 2005, at Lebanon Church in Galatia and she survives.
Dick was a truck driver, a courier for MidCountry Bank and he drove a limousine for Dr. Roger Herrin. He also worked for Peyton Auto in Galatia.
Dick is survived by his wife and seven children, David Brooks of Jacksonville, N.C., Derek Logsdon of Valparaiso, Ind., Chris Brooks of Valparaiso, Ind., Scott Brooks of Jacksonville, N.C., Cliff Brooks of Douglasville, Ga., Jamie Stewart of Galatia and Scottie Stewart of Carterville. He is also survived by his mother, Wilma Nadine Brooks of Gary, Ind.; and two brothers, Ronald Brooks of Valparaiso, Ind. and Robert Brooks of Gary, Ind. He is survived by 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Dick was a member of Lebanon Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Galatia Masonic Lodge No. 684.
Memorial service for Dick will be 2 p.m. Sunday, May 31, 2009, at Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia. The Rev. Jeff Odum and Kevin Peyton will officiate.
