Pauline Kovach

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Pauline Kovach, 87, of Karnak, passed away at 4:50 a.m. Friday, May 22, 2009, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon.

Pauline was born Oct. 7, 1921 in Herrin.

Mrs. Kovach was a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Grand Chain. She was a former teacher's aide for JAMP in Southern Illinois.

She is survived by one son, Jerry and wife Diane Kovach of Harrisburg; one daughter, Dawn Kovach of Salem; four brothers, Caesar and wife Judy Carneghi of St. Louis, Mo., Vee and wife JoAnn Carneghi of St Louis, Mo., Mike Carneghi of Carterville and Ernie Carneghi of Herrin; three grandchildren, Christopher Kovach, Harrisburg, Angela Kovach, Ft. Meyers, Fla., Jennifer Wooter, Worcester, Mass.; and many nephews and nieces.

Mrs. Kovach was preceded in death by her husband, Orval Kovach; and her parents, Caesar and Theresa Colombo Carneghi.

Graveside service were be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at San Carlos Cemetery in Herrin with Msgr. Ken Schaefer of Herrin officiating. Friends are invited to gather at the cemetery for the service.

Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak is in charge of the arrangements.
