Marjorie J. Hill

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Marjorie J. Hill, 84, Red Bud, formerly of Harrisburg, Pa., passed away Monday, May 25, 2009, at Missouri Baptist Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.

She was born to the late William and Mary C. (nee Haugh) Vandergrift on July 3, 1924, in Brookville, Pa.

She had been a receiving clerk for Pomeroy's in Harrisburg, Pa. for 35 years.

She had attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud and she was an avid bingo player.

Survivors include three children, Patricia (James) Whyte of Eldorado, Thomas Hill II of Jacksonville, Fla. and Kristine Hill of Red Bud; four grandchildren, Michelle (Dale) Richerson, Marsha (Danny) Johnston, Matthew (Erin) Whyte and Thomas (Shelly) Hill III; and six great-grandchildren, Cody Johnston, Tyler, Jake, Cassie and Tessa Richerson, Sophia Hill and one great-grandchild on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Lois Demchuk.

A memorial service will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2009, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud with Father Tom Stout officiating. Visitation is 11 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud.

Memorials may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic School and Eldorado Friends of the Library.

A memorial graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 2009, at St. Mary's Cemetery in Eldorado with Father Mark Stec officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Watson Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements. A meal will follow the service at St. Mary's Church Parish Center.
