Barbara Littlefield

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Barbara Littlefield, 68, Harrisburg, passed away at 9:05 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2009, at Harrisburg Medical Center.

Barbara was born in Greenville, Ky., on March 21, 1941, to the late Daniel and Eula Mae (Wright) Hawes. Barbara married Ed Littlefield on March 10, 1960, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 11, 1996.

Barbara was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Harrisburg, the Altar Society and the Eastern Star.

Barbara is survived by a son, Ed Littlefield of Harrisburg; daughter, Theresa Lewis and husband Mike of Harrisburg; sister, Martha Geary and husband John of Buchanan, Tenn.; three grandsons, Brent Lewis, Jarrett Littlefield and Jaden Littlefield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ed; and two brothers, Billy and Daniel Hawes.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 25, 2009, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Harrisburg. Father Ignatius Okonkwo will officiate and burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, May 24, 2009, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Memorials may be made to the St. Mary Building Fund or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
