Joseph Eloine Koch

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Eloine Koch, 94, of Harrisburg, passed away at 10:43 a.m. Friday, May 22, 2009, at V.A. Medical Center in Marion.

Eloine was born in Delwood on Feb. 15, 1915, to the late John and Alta (Hart) Koch. He married Vinnie Morris on March 3, 1934, and she preceded him in death on Aug. 8, 2000.

Eloine was a department manager for Hart's Department Store for many years, and an electrician. He served his country in the Navy during World War II and was a member of McKinley Avenue Baptist Church, Harrisburg Masonic Lodge, The Odd Fellows and the American Legion.

Eloine is survived by a daughter, Fonda Stout of Harrisburg; and a son, Richard Koch of Elizabethtown; his sister, Peggy McClendon of Florida; nine grandchildren, Vicki Schlittler and GiaLin Ragsdale; Crystal Rath, Scott Koch, Jeff Koch, David Koch, Susan Tucker, Jennifer Lefler and Sherry Davis; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at Reed Funeral Chapel with Dr. Blaine Welker officiating and burial to follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Memorials may be made to the McKinley Ave. Baptist Church Building Fund.
