Harriett E. Fraley

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Harriett E. Fraley, 86, died 4:12 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2009, at Alton Memorial Hospital.

Born Sept. 28, 1922, in Evansville, Ind., she was the daughter of the late George and Nota (Burress) Land.

In 1941, she married Albert Wayne Green. He died in 1965.

She then married Oliver Fraley in 1971. He died in 1989.

She was a secretary in the insurance industry for several years before retiring.

Surviving are a stepmother, Ruth Dartt of New Harmony, Ind.; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Richard and Kay Green of Knightdale, N.C., David and Carole Green of Kuttawa, Ky., and Michael Green of Anchorage, Alaska; two granddaughters, Laura Jordan and Lonna Green; two great-grandsons, Patrick and James Jordan; a sister, Inez Stanley of California; and a stepsister, Irma Dartt of New Harmony, Ind.

A sister, Eola Schuman, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from noon until time of service at 2 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2009, at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Pastor Brad Donoho will officiate.

Private burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.

Memorials may be made to the Upper Alton Baptist Church where she had been a member.
