Shirley Ann Vailes
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mrs. Shirley Ann Vailes, 68, of Eldorado, passed away at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, surrounded by her loved ones.
She married Jesse Vailes on Oct. 5, 1942, in Eldorado. She was the daughter of the late William "Pete" Riley and Lorene Riley, born Feb. 18, 1942.
She was a homemaker.
She was a Baptist by faith at New Beginning Church.
Shirley is survived by three sons, Jesse Vailes Jr., Larry Vailes (Cheryl) Lockston and Terry and Fonda Vailes, all of Eldorado; three daughters, Debora Vailes, Darlene and Steve Randolph and Mona and Roger Fields, all of Eldorado.
Shirley has 13 grandkids and 17 great-grandkids, and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is survived by two sisters, Carol and James McCain of Aurora and Norma Seagraves of Eldorado; and one brother, Larry and Linda Riley of Eldorado.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by two sisters, Joella Long and June Riley; an infant son, Frank Jo Vailes; and daughter, Kathy Mallady.
Visitation for Shirley is 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2009, and funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2009, at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado with the Rev. Bob Murray officiating. Burial will follow at Wolf Creek Cemetery.
