</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Norma Allen, 84, 1105 Walnut St., Eldorado, died Sunday, July 12, 2009, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Galatia.

Private funeral services will be held. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery. Arrangements are in the charge of Watson Funeral Home, Eldorado.

She was born May 2, 1925, in Eldorado to Ben and Mable (Watson) Ballard. In April 1946, she married Gordon Allen, who preceded her in death.

She was a business owner and worked in retail sales.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Tim (Robin) McGrath of Eldorado; a brother, Ben (Phyllis) Ballard Jr. of Shawneetown; an aunt, Clara Phelps of Eldorado; three grandchildren, Ben Jerrod McGrath of Eldorado, Mac Caleb McGrath of St. Louis, Mo., and Megan (Dan) Ratermann of Aviston; and two great-grandchildren, Cole and Kylie Ratermann.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or College Heights Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
