</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Charles F. Johns, 81, Broughton, died 1:17 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2009, at St. Mary's Hospital, Evansville, Ind.

Services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2009, at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. Randall Ragan officiating. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 5, 2009, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hickory Hill Cemetery near Broughton.

He was the widower of the former Allene Jordan. He is survived by a son, daughter-in-law, two daughters, a son-in-law, three grandsons and five great-grandchildren.
