James Loren Parks
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[James Loren Parks, 67, a resident of Lincoln Street, Stonefort, died 10:10 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2009, at his home.
He was born Nov. 14, 1941, in Saline County to Rexall and Velma Rose Parks.
He was an Army veteran and a retired truck driver. He attended Stonefort General Baptist Church.
He is survived by a son, Jimmy Parks of Bethalto; two brothers, Charles Parks of Carrier Mills and Rex (Lori) Parks of Ozark; three sisters, Rexalene McCarley of Benton, Caroline Benson of Carrier Mills and Mary (Mark) Evers of McLeansboro; and two grandchildren, Grace Marie Parks and Sebastian Parks.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Frankie Parks; and a sister, Judy Hawkins.
Cremation has been accorded. Arrangements are in the charge of Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home, Carrier Mills.
