Pauline McGuire

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Pauline McGuire, 98 of Ridgway, died peacefully at her home, Friday, Dec. 4, 2009.

Pauline was born June 25, 1911, in Ridgway to the late Fred L. and Katie (Kohl) Drone. On Sept. 15, 1931, she married John C. McGuire, who preceded her in death in 1975.

Pauline was always very active in her community as she was a charter member of the Gallatin County Home Extension, Historical Society, Altar Society and Daughters of Isabella. She was a very devoted Catholic by faith, who showed us each and every day what real faith is. She was a member of the St. Patricks Church in Ponds Settlement most of her life before moving to town where she became a member of the St. Joseph Parish in Ridgway.

Pauline was a wonderful mother, wife, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend. She always had a kind word and smile for everyone. She was a pillar of Gallatin County Catholic churches and will be greatly missed.

Pauline is survived by three sons, Robert (Judy) McGuire of Ridgway, Charles (Linda) McGuire of Ridgway and Fred (Peg) McGuire of South Carolina; one daughter, Carol Ann Lawler of Fairfield; one brother, Cletus "Spud" Drone of St. James, Mo.; two sisters, Roberta Naas of Ridgway and Viola Roe of Evansville, Ind.; nine grandchildren, Mike (Tracy) McGuire, Steve (Kendra) McGuire, Kevin (Stacia) McGuire, Tim (Lisa) McGuire, Mark (Lori) McGuire, Debbie (David) Denton, Terry (Pam) Lawler, Donna Lawler and Amy (Tony) Troiano; 17 great-grandchildren, Marissa, Thomas, Heather, Zachary, Kaylee, Jonathon and Wesley McGuire, Kasey, Ryan, Matthew, Benjamin and Kaitlyn McGuire, Ryan and Victoria Denton and Amy Lawler and Michael and Scott Troiano; and one great-great-grandchild, Hadley Denton.

Pauline was preceded by her parents; husband; one daughter, Sister Kathleen McGuire; two brothers, Fr. Ray Drone and Clarence "Bud" Drone; one sister, Elizabeth Daily; and three grandchildren, Rebecca McGuire, Christopher Lawler and Charles Anthony McGuire.

Visitation for Pauline was 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009, at the Cox and Son Funeral Home in Ridgway, with a Rosary service at 8 p.m. A funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, at the St. Patricks Catholic Church in the Ponds Settlement community east of Ridgway. Fr. Mark Stec officiated and interment was in St. Patricks Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the St. Patrick's Cemetery in her memory.
