Helen L. Partain of Harrisburg

HARRISBURG - Helen L. Partain, 97 passed away at 10:25 a.m. Monday, June 12, 2017, in Shawnee Rose Care Center.

She was born in Harrisburg to Bertis and Anna (Parks) Farkas. In 1937, she married Henry A. Partain, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 29, 1977.

Helen was a former member of Big Ridge Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Austin of Marion; son, William "Bill" (Diane) Partain of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Michael L. Holland and Sheryl Reed of Carrier Mills, Ronald D. Holland of Carrier Mills, Sharie (Bill) Edwards of Galatia, Robbie Jo Partain of West Palm Beach, Florida, and Jason Partain of Carrier Mills; seven great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Ronnie D. Partain; grandson, Ricky D. Partain; two brothers, Mike and Jim Farkas; sister, Mary Fife; and her parents, Bertis and Anna Farkas.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 15, in Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg with the Rev. Gary Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Lindale Cemetery in Eldorado. There will be no visitation.
