Prep Baseball: Hawks rally to beat NCOE

The Gallatin County baseball team rallied from a 14-6 deficit through five innings to knock off Norris City-Omaha-Enfield 22-14 Thursday.

The Hawks used a huge rally late, scoring five runs in the sixth inning and 11 runs in the seventh for the victory.

Thomas York, Steven Robinson, Seth Ramsey and Kory Hise all paced Gallatin County at the plate as York went 3-for-5 with three RBI and three runs scored, while Ramsey went 3-for-5 as well, with two RBI and three runs scored. Robinson finished 3-for-4 with two RBI and four runs scored. Hise went 3-for-6 with three runs scored and three runs driven in.

Nathan Shults, Patrick Clark, Clay Pritchard and Hunter Walters all had two hits. Clark and Pritchard each drove in two, while Clark scored two and Pritchard scored one.

Lucas Hise went 1-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored.

Kory Hise went 2/3 of an inning on the mound, giving up three earned runs, while Ramsey worked four innings, giving up four earned runs, while striking out six.

Clark stood in line for the win, going three innings, striking out three and not giving up a run.

Earlier, Gallatin County lost to Crab Orchard 10-4, where Kory Hise went 5 1/3 innings, giving up three earned runs and striking out two. Clark worked 1 2/3 innings, giving up two earned runs.

Kory Hise, Ramsey and Shults all had three hits on the afternoon, as Ramsey and Hise each had an RBI and scored a run.

Thomas York went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored, while Walters went 1-for-3 with a run scored.
