Lela B. Cummins

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Lela B. Cummins, 91, of Harrisburg, passed away at 5:50 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009, at the Harrisburg Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 23, 1918, and was preceded in death by her mother, Edith Marie Chapman, in August 1919.

In 1935, she married the love of her life, Jimmie Cummins, and together they operated the Triangle Cafe in Harrisburg and the Lottaburger Restaurant in Eldorado for many years. She also was a sales clerk for a number of years at Grant's Jewelry in Harrisburg.

She is survived by daughter, Shirley Goodman of Harrisburg; and son, James "Mick" Cummins and wife of Eldorado.

She is also survived by five grandchildren, including Phillip Wintizer and wife Denise of Paducah, Ky., Sherry Morrison of Indian Rocks Beach, Fla., Nichole Ricker and husband Chris of Deltona Beach, Fla., Stephanie Witt and husband Nathanial of Paducah, Ky. and Cameron Cummins of Harrisburg. In addition, she is survived by seven great-grandchildren, including Chad Wintizer and children Carson, Megan and Courtney, Misty Wintizer and daughters Alexis and Madison, Dustin O'Keefe, Holden Ricker, Lane Ricker, Cody E. Witt and Trinity M. Cummins.

A graveside service will be held at Lindale Memorial Gardens at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, and friends may call at the Gaskins Funeral Home in Harrisburg from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, 2009.
