Joseph E. Westenbarger

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Joseph E. Westenbarger, 53, 1219 W. Walnut St., Eldorado, died 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, at his residence.

Mr. Westenbarger has been cremated as per his wishes and there will be a burial at a later date. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, at Gaskins-Jones Funeral Home, Harrisburg, with the Rev. Steve Dunning officiating. Visitation is 11 a.m. to service time Friday at the funeral home.

He was born Aug. 7, 1956, in Tulsa, Okla., to the late Norman and Betty Jo (Tripp) Westenbarger. On May 6, 1979, he married the former Donna Marie Tripp, who resides in Eldorado.

He was an engineer for the Joint Commission in Oak Brook Terrace. He was Baptist by faith and served in the Navy during the Vietnam War.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Todd Joseph (Andrea) Westenbarger of Galatia; two grandsons, Levi Dunning and Joey Westenbarger of Galatia; and a sister, Debbie (Dan) Rice of Berwyn.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Scarbarough.
