OBITUARY: Frank N. Taylor

Frank N. Taylor, 84 of Harrisburg, passed away 7:36 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2015, at Harrisburg Medical Center in Harrisburg.

He was born April 29, 1930, in Saline County the son of Mark and Callie Prather Taylor. He was married to the former Beulah Lievers Taylor and she preceded him in death March 24, 2012. Frank was a member of the Harrisburg Church Of God and was an Army Veteran.

Frank attended and graduated from Southern Illinois University after being honorably discharged from the Army. He taught shop for seven years at Eldorado High School and then in 1971 at Harrisburg High School where he retired in 1990. Frank was a 60-year member of the Harrisburg Lodge No. 325 AF & AM, Valley of Southern Illinois Consistory and the Ainad Shrine.

He is survived by one daughter, Emily and Danny Dunn of Harrisburg; two brothers, Jerry of Harrisburg and Don of Canton, Mass.; and four grandchildren, Jessica Shires, Audrey Shires, Cody Shires and Hillary and Matt Hall.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mark and Callie Taylor and his wife Beulah Lievers Taylor.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at the Harrisburg Church Of God with the Rev. Dan Masters and the Rev. Russ Lievers officiating and burial will follow at Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home where Masonic services will be at 7 p.m.
