Jane Rose Crank
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Jane Rose Crank, 80, of Harrisburg, died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon.
She was born in Saline Co. on Oct. 18, 1928, to Clyde and Thelma (Partain) Sowels. Jane was secretary for the Mitchellsville Rural Water District, a member of Ingram Hill Baptist Church and former member of the Painters Guild Harrisburg Chapter.
On July 3, 1948, she married Charles Crank, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 17, 2007. To this union was given a daughter, Cheryl (Carl) Adams of Vincennes, Ind.; and son, Chuck (Karen) Crank of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Shain and wife Jennifer Crank, Michael and wife Laurel Crank, both of Harrisburg and Sarah Wynn of Pinckneyville; great-grandchildren, Garrett, Mitchell, Dylan, Isaac, Myles and Ansley Crank, and Rusty and Dawson Wynn; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, James Killman; and sister, Helen Shirley.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009, at Reed Funeral Chapel with the Rev, Chris Winkleman officiating. Burial will follow in Ingram Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug, 21, 2009, at Reed Funeral Chapel. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ingram Hill Cemetery or the Alzheimer's Association and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
