Prep Softball: G-T gets by Gallatin Co.

The Galatia-Thompsonville softball team took down Gallatin County 10-3 Tuesday as Brooke Burris picked up her first win on the season.

Burris (1-4) went four innings, striking out five and walking two, while giving up six hits and three runs (0 earned).

Kennedy Harris went 2-for-3 with two RBI for the Bearcats, while Kaelyn Watson went 2-for-3 with an RBI and Katie Linsley was 2-for-3.

On the day, the Bearcats had eight hits as Galatia-Thompsonville moved to 7-7 on the season and 4-2 in GEC play.

G-T will travel to Crab Orchard today (Thursday) in a key GEC game.
