Obituary: Charles Mike Dodd

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Charles Mike "Birddog" Dodd, 59, of Eldorado, passed away Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, at his residence.

Charles was born in Eldorado on Nov. 12, 1952, a son of Norma L. (Watson) Dodd-Mayberry of Eldorado and the late Charles William Dodd.

He was a member of Pleasant Valley Star General Baptist Church.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He was the husband of Lou Jean (Heck) Dodd, who survives.

Charles is survived by a daughter, Amy Lynn (Brian Fox) Dodd of Eldorado; two sisters, Janet (Bill Brown) Mayberry of Eldorado and Linda (David) Hardy of Ina; a granddaughter, Brooksy Ty Fox; nieces and nephews, Charles Wayne and family, Laura and family, Tonya and family; and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011, at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home, with the Rev. Russell Helton officiating. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to service time. Burial will follow in Wolf Creek Cemetery with military rites.
