Du Quoin driver veered into car's path near Sesser

Franklin County Investigators say, at this writing, the only thing they know for sure is that the car driven by a Du Quoin 19-year-old, T Jay Klamm, veered across the centerline into the path of an oncoming car.

The crash Friday night resulted in Klamm's death and the death of a Jefferson County man and one of his two twin grandchildren.

Franklin County investigators are looking at distracted driving, alcohol or drugs as the cause of the accident, but are awaiting toxicology reports and other evidence from the scene along Rt. 148 a few miles north of Sesser.
