HMS Student Council plans 'Pink-Out' game
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Harrisburg Middle School Student Council is holding a "pink-out" basketball game at the middle school Monday night. They raised money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation through selling pink T-shirts for $12, which also will be available at the game.
"We're trying to raise awareness about breast cancer," said eighth-grade student council member Patrick Bittle.
The plan is for the entire gymnasium to be covered in pink, from the fans to the players.
Student Council Adviser Debbie McGowan says this is the first year for the event, but they are hoping to make it an annual occurrence.
The community service project has already raised $1,000 and the council is hoping for a big turnout at Monday night's game, so they can raise even more for the undeniably worthy cause.
