Obituary: Edward Phillips
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Edward Phillips, 81, of Fisk, Mo., died Monday, Oct. 31, 2011, at Mark Twain Caring Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Mr. Phillips was born June 2, 1930, in St. Louis, Mo. He was an over the road truck driver and enjoyed Cardinal baseball and fishing.
He married Betty Treadwell on June 2, 1948. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include one son, Larry Phillips and wife Fong of N. Fond Du Lac, Wis.; six daughters, Janet Lynn Voight and husband Bryan, Judy Simmons and husband David and Ella Phillips all of Eldorado, Mary Jean Phillips of Tonawanda, N.Y., Bonnie Busby of Springfield and Sandra Cuddy and husband John of Dover, Tenn.; one brother, Herschel Phillips of Gallatin County; three sisters, Lucille Hausser and Jo Jett and husband Lyle, all of Poplar Bluff, Mo. and Carol Lovell and husband David of Ellington, Mo.; 10 grandchildren, Kimberly and Chad Neptune, Ben and Bethany Voight, Cathy Phillips, Jennie Phillips, Amy Wallace, Mike and Sue Wallace, William Vance, II, Micah Frebee, Angie Underwood and Jacinta Hall; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011, at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk, Mo. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Greg Gilberto officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
