Obituary: Kenneth Dale Johnson

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Kenneth Dale Johnson, 78, of Eldorado, passed away at 6:15 p.m. on Oct. 25, 2011, 6:15 p.m. at Herrin Hospital in Herrin.

He was born in Harrisburg on Nov. 13, 1932, to Willard Vernon and Lola Fern (Foster) Johnson.

Kenneth was a member of the College Heights Baptist Church in Eldorado.

He is survived by his son, Kenneth Daniel Johnson of Eldorado; two daughters, Kimberly and Frank Rapp of Raleigh and Kristine Duke, also of Raleigh; a sister, Barbara N. O'Quest of Tucson, Ariz. and brother-in-law, Pete O'Quest of Tucson, Ariz.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kathie Abell; and brother, Billy G. Johnson.

Visitation for Kenneth will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, at the Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado. Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, with the Rev. Russell Helton officiating. Burial will be at the Wolf Creek Cemetery in Eldorado.
