Obituary: Betty (Cook) Rose

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Betty (Cook) Rose, 85, of Harrisburg, passed away Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, at Harrisburg Medical Center.

Betty was born on Sept. 10, 1926, the daughter of Almus and Gertrude (Thomas) Cook. Betty lived her entire life in Harrisburg. She graduated from Harrisburg Township High School and on Oct. 1, 1943, married Russell W. Rose of Harrisburg, who preceded her in death.

During her lifetime, Betty worked at the Saline County Farm Bureau office and later as a library assistant at Southeastern Illinois College.

She is survived by her son, Russell Deneen Rose; and four grandchildren, Russell Monty Rose, Russell Jeffrey Rose, Brent Giles Rose and Jennifer Kay Rose.
