Obituary: Barbara Rodgers

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Barbara Rodgers, 69, formerly of Harrisburg, passed away 11:45 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011, at the home of her daughter in Sikeston, Mo.

She was born Nov. 11, 1942, in Anaheim, Calif., the daughter of Michael and Katherine Bearden Chezek. She was married to Harold "Hal" Rodgers and he preceded her in death in 2005. Barbara was a registered nurse and retired from Ferrell Hospital in 2006.

Surviving her are one daughter, Pam and Leonard Mayhall of Sikeston, Mo.; two brothers, Marc Chezek of Knoxville, Tenn. and Michael Chezek of Helsini, Finland; one sister, Rosemary Pierson of Knoxville, Tenn.; and two grandchildren, Bobbie Mayhall and fiance Blake Kennard and Tim Mayhall.

Graveside services will precede burial at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, at Fluorine Cemetery in Rosiclare with the Rev. Kenny Mayhall officiating. Those attending should go directly to the cemetery. The J.M. Weirauch Funeral Home in Harrisburg is in charge of arrangements.
