Obituary: William Dennis Wilkins
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[William Dennis Wilkins, 56, Carrier Mills, died on his birthday, Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, at his home surrounded by those who loved him.
He was born on Sept. 19, 1955, in Pontiac, Mich., to the late William Douglas Wilkins and Reathel Fox. He was a member of the Main Street Church of God in Carrier Mills and last worked at Wilson Kitchens of Harrisburg.
Dennis is survived by his mother, Reathel of Carrier Mills; his wife, Tammy of Carrier Mills; a daughter, Ericka (Wesley) Gwaltney of Arnold, Mo.; a son, Nathan of Carrier Mills; two brothers, Marty (Tammy) Wilkins and Shawn Wilkins, both of Carrier Mills; and two grandchildren, Hailey and Madison Gwaltney. He was eagerly anticipating the birth of his twin grandchildren. He is also survived by two nephews, Jason Wilkins and Nick Austin; and a special family friend, Lee Ann Cremeens.
He was preceded in death by his father; his sister, Penny Austin; and a niece, Marieca Frailey.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011, in the Main Street Church of God in Carrier Mills, with his pastor, the Rev. Benny Webb, officiating. Friends may call at the church after 9 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. The family would prefer memorials in lieu of flowers. Memorials should be available to the education fund for his son Nathan. Envelopes will be available at the church.
