Obituary: Franklin Louis 'Lou' Drew

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Franklin Louis "Lou" Drew of Redding, Calif., passed over in Haverhill, Mass., on Aug. 26, 2011, after a 16-year battle with cancer.

Lou grew up in Glencoe and attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis., as an Evans Scholar. He was quite active in theatre in Milwaukee, Wis. He was the loving husband of Melinda Adams, formerly of Harrisburg and Milwaukee. He was the father of Kathryn Angelena Kulikoski (Christian) n&#233;e Katie Drew-Adams of Georgetown, Mass.; stepfather of Dr. Frederick Stich, Redding, Calif.; Karl David Stich (Esther n&#233;e Sutcliff); and Dr. James (Adams-Stich) O&#39;Dea of Cincinnati, Ohio. He is survived by several grandchildren, Sasha Angelena Kulikoski, Karl David and Charles Frederick Stich, and Marin, Maura and Jack O&#39;Dea. He was the brother of Bernard Drew, Connie Drew Hatfield and Mae Drew Darrow.

A funeral Mass was held in Georgetown, Mass. and a celebration of life in Redding, Calif. on Sept. 14.

A noted artist, director and performer, Lou was also a well-loved alcohol and drug counselor. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at Tri-Counties Bank, 110 Hartnell Ave., Redding, Calif. 96002, to be used for recovery support. Contributions may be made c/o Melinda Adams.
