William D. Peterson

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[William D. Peterson, 83, of rural Carrier Mills died 8:20 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, at Carrier Mills Nursing Home.

Private services will be announced later from Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills.

He was born Nov. 11, 1925, in Rosiclare to the late Harry Knute and Elsie May (Dunaway) Peterson.

He was retired from General Motors as a truck and coach mechanic.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

He is survived by two sisters, Patricia Foust of Aurora and Gwendolyn Davis of Lockport; a daughter, Cynthia Herkowich of Michigan; five stepsons and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Louise Peterson.
