Wawneeda D. Williams Frye

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Wawneeda D. Williams Frye, 83, of Johnson City, formerly of Shawneetown, passed away 2:05 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 27, 2008, in Fountains Nursing Home in Marion.

She was born March 26, 1925, near Elizabethtown to Robert and Nellie (Simmons) Lampert. Wawneeda married Walter Eugene Williams on June 15, 1942, who preceded her in death on May 5, 1981. She later married John Frye and he preceded her in death in May of 1987.

Wawneeda was a home maker and a member of Junction General Baptist Church.

She is survived by four daughters, Barbara Stacey of Harrisburg, Freda Armstrong of Arizona, Bonnie Williams of Marion and Kim Morris of North Carolina; five sons, Robert Williams of Junction, Terry Williams of Marion, Wendell Williams of Eldorado, Danny Williams of Marion and Randy Williams of Johnston City; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 27 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents; husbands; two sisters, Myrtle Hobbs and Robbie Irby; and four brothers, James, June, Sammy and Utah Lampert.

Visitation for Wawneeda will be 9 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, at Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown. Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. at Hogan Cemetery with the Rev. Ron Johnson officiating.
