</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Marjorie Thomas, 88, of Benton, Ky., died Monday, Nov. 10, 2008, at her residence in Benton, Ky.

She was a homemaker and a member of Ingram Hill Baptist Church.

She was the daughter of the late Robert Barnfield and the late Julia L. Saylor Barnfield.

Mrs. Thomas is survived by three daughters, Patricia Humphrey and husband Bob of Harrisburg, Dona Johnson of Mount Vernon and Julia Harp and husband Leonard of Gilbertsville, Ky.; son, Bobby Thomas and wife Carolyn of Thebes; brother, Maurice Dale Barnfield of Harrisburg; sister, Betty Montegue of Chicago; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Mary Ann Thomas and Joann Thomas; three sisters, Pauline Paguette, Doris Girvin and Helen Roberts; a son, Lance Thomas; and husband, Charles E. Thomas.

Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home, P.O. Box 492, Benton, Ky. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008 at Ingram Hill Cemetery, with Bro. John Goodman officiating. Interment will be at Ingram Hill Cemetery, Harrisburg. Visitation will be held at Collier Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
