Busy Easter weekend ahead

Saturday, April 4 Easter carnival 9 a.m. and Easter egg hunt 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church (122 W. Poplar St.), Harrisburg.
Easter Eggstravaganza is 10 a.m. to noon at First Baptist Church, 306 N. Main St., Carrier Mills, with a Resurrection egg story, crafts, refreshments and giant Easter egg hunt for children pre-kindergarten through fifth grade.
Easter Egg Hunt 10:30 a.m. at Shawnee Rose Care Center, 1000 W. Sloan St., Harrisburg.
Southern Illinois Masonic Charities sponsors a children's Easter egg hunt 1 p.m. at the Saline County Fairgrounds, Harrisburg. Also available will be face painting, fire safety, Child ID program and the Easter Bunny. Gate opens at noon.
Eldorado American Legion Easter Egg Hunt is 1 p.m. at Eldorado High School Football Field.
Sunday, April 5 An Easter sunrise service will be held 6:30 a.m. Sunday, April 5, at Bankston Fork Missionary Baptist Church west of Harrisburg, followed by fellowship. Participating churches are the Oasis Church of the Nazarene, Liberty Baptist Church, First Church of God of Harrisburg, North America Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Carrier Mills and Bankston Fork Baptist.
Sunrise Easter service 6:30 a.m. at Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church south of Harrisburg. Randall Sork is the pastor. Breakfast will follow in the Family Life Center, with Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. No services the rest of the day.
Easter service is 7:30 a.m. at Pankeyville Baptist Church south of Harrisburg. Breakfast is 8:30 a.m. There will be no more services that day..
Town and Country Lions Club Annual Easter Egg Hunt is 2 p.m. at Taylor Field, Harrisburg. Prizes will be awarded.
