Eugene M. Hoadley

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Eugene M. Hoadley, 81, North Mill Street, Carrier Mills, died 2:18 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 3, 2008 at Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills with the Rev. Bert Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, Ozark, with military rites by the Carrier Mills and Harrisburg American legions. Visitation will be held 9 a.m. to service time Monday at the funeral home.

He was born July 13, 1927 in Princeton, Ind., to Roscoe and Helen (McGarrah) Hoadley. On Aug. 20, 1961 he married the former Betty Mitchell, who survives.

He was a Navy veteran. He was a retired computer technical engineer from TRW Corp. and a member of American Legion Post No. 364 and New Salem Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a grandson, Clinton Hoadley of Crown Point, Ind.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert Hoadley; a brother, John Hoadley; and a sister, Elizabeth McLoughin.
