Mary E. Sallions

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mary E. Sallions, 100, of U.S. Route 45, Eldorado, died 11:25 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, at Fountain View Nursing Home.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at Wolf Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Art Watson officiating. There will be no visitation; those attending should go directly to the cemetery. Arrangements are in the charge of Watson Funeral Home, Eldorado.

She was born June 23, 1908, in Texas City to George and Laura (Brill) Gwaltney. She married W.A. "Alvia" Sallions, who preceded her in death in 1995.

She was a homemaker and a member of Wolf Creek Primitive Baptist Church.

She is survived by a niece, Linda Knight of Eldorado; and two nephews, William Thaxton of Eldorado and Donald Gwaltney of Bethalto.
