Lera Nichols Vaughn

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Lera Nichols Vaughn, a longtime resident of Harrisburg, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, at Belleville.

She was born Oct. 22, 1912, in Dawson Springs, Ky.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Roby Vaughn, in 1992.

She was a graduate of Harrisburg High School. She retired from Fred Sanders Confectionery in Highland Park, Mich.; she held the position of store manager.

She is survived by five children, Gary Vaughn of Fraser, Mich., Patricia Patt of Belleville and Jim, John and Jeffrey Vaughn of Harrisburg; and 10 grandchildren, Kimberly Beels of Mt. Clemens, Mich., Karen Johnson of Fraser, Mich., Karl Vaughn of Bend, Ore., Ron, Debbie and Becky Patt of Belleville, Dodge Vaughn of Harrisburg, William James Vaughn of Freeman Spur, Roby and Kyle Vaughn of Harrisburg; and four great-grandchildren, Hanna Rose and Garrett Beels of Mt. Clemens, Mich., Kenny Paul Johnson of Fraser, Mich. and Taylor Patt of Belleville.

A private service was held at Valhalla Gardens, Belleville.
