Oleta Gleyre McDannel

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Oleta Gleyre McDannel, 94, of Carrier Mills, died 5:07 a.m. Monday, Oct. 6, 2008, at Harrisburg Medical Center.

Oleta was born in Carrier Mills on Sept. 7, 1914, to the late Harry and Sarah Dunn Gleyre. She was a homemaker. She was married to the late Vern McDannel in 1950 and he preceded her in death in 1980. She was a member of the Main Street Church of God in Carrier Mills.

Oleta is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Brenda Morse of Centralia; two grandsons, Jarrod and wife Kim Morse of Marion and Jeremy and wife Lydia Morse of Florissant, Mo.; four stepgrandchildren, Lynn, Dawn, Denise and Debbie; two great-grandchildren, Jayce and Ariannah; and several nieces and nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Gus and Louie Gleyre; and four sisters, Ethel Blue, Kate Elms, Nancy Lewis and Edna Wathen.

Visitation will be held at Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills from 4 until 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008, with the funeral at 6 p.m. on Thursday. The Rev. Larry Morse, the Rev. Jarrod Morse, the Rev. Jeremy Morse and David Mays will officiate. Burial will be private in Salem Cemetery.
