Indians farmhand flown to Cleveland for treatment

Indians minor-league pitcher Juan Lara was flown from the Dominican Republic to Cleveland on Friday, where he will continue to be treated for serious injuries suffered in a November auto accident.

Team spokesman Bart Swain said Lara was transferred to the Cleveland Clinic, where he is awake and breathing without the aid of any devices.
