Sonar, underwater camera aid Kyle Brown search

Tina Brown, mother of missing Kyle Brown, 19, Harrisburg, is asking for volunteers to help in the search for him this weekend.

Brown disappeared between midnight and 3:30 a.m. Dec. 28, 2014, prompting a massive regional search effort of law enforcement and volunteers.

Assisting in the search Saturday and Sunday will be The Jodi Powers Search and Rescue Team from Kentucky.

That search team was formed when Jodi Powers went missing some years ago.

The team is well equipped with underwater gear and sonar.

The organized ground search for Kyle Brown will meet at 8 a.m. Saturday and Sunday in the parking lot of the Harrisburg Lions Club on South Main Street in Harrisburg.

All volunteers are asked to wear boots that cover ankles. Safety glasses and gloves are recommended and volunteers are asked to bring a sack lunch.

Tina Brown last saw her son the night of Dec. 27 and when she later went to check on him found him and her black 2001 Honda CRV missing. The license plate is F843829.
