Obituary: Danny Lee Throgmorton
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Danny Lee Throgmorton, 61, of Du Quoin, formerly of Orient, passed away at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, at his residence.
Danny had worked as an individual aide at Center for Comprehensive Services. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of Vietnam. He had attended grade school at Orient and high school at West Frankfort. He graduated from Southern Illinois University with a bachelor's degree in recreational therapy.
He was born Feb. 11, 1950 at Herrin, the son of William V. and Ethel M. (Homan) Throgmorton.
He is survived by one son, Joseph D. Throgmorton and wife Brandi of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; his mother, Ethel Seaton of Shawneetown; one sister, Debbie Oxford of Du Quoin; and one brother, Steve Throgmorton of Sturgis, Ky.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Per Mr. Throgmorton's request, cremation services were held. There will be no funeral service or visitation. Burial will be in the Wolfe Creek Cemetery at a later date.
Friends may make memorials to Hospice of Southern Illinois or American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
