Obituary: Ed Paul Vickery
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Ed Paul Vickery, 87, of Shawneetown, passed away at 11:25 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 1, 2011, at Ridgway Manor Nursing Home in Ridgway.
He was born on Nov. 14, 1923, in Saline Mines to James Raymond and Glena Marie (Richeson) Vickery.
Ed Paul was a bus driver for the Gallatin County School, also enjoyed horseback riding with friends and was a past school board member. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Shawneetown.
Ed Paul is survived by two daughters, Paula and Mike Hise of Shawneetown and Angela and James Hite of Harrisburg; three sisters, Erma Mae and Bob Norris of Morganfield, Ky., Lorene Lane of Harrisburg and June Porter of Equality; two brothers, Kenny and Rosie Vickery of Junction and Jim and Jeri Vickery of Eldorado; grandchildren, Abby, Amanda, Kelsey, Lucas, Steven and Caleb; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Kenneth Edward Vickery.
Visitation for Ed Paul will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011, with Pastor Jack Hall officiating. Burial will be at Westwood Cemetery near Shawneetown.
