James L. 'Larry' Mahoney

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[James L. "Larry" Mahoney, 73, of Wadesville, Ind., passed away Saturday, June 18, 2011, at the Deaconess Hospice Care Center.

Larry was a member of the Iron Workers Local 103 for 46 years and had served his country as a veteran of the United States Army. He was a life member and past commander of the VFW Charles Denby Post No. 2953 and a member of the American Legion Eugene Pate Post No. 265, DAV, AMVETS and Forty and Eight. Larry enjoyed hunting, playing poker, baseball and loved spending time with family, friends and his loving companions, Onyx and Murphy.

Surviving Larry are his wife of 45 years, Jane (Lavender) Mahoney; two daughters, Beth Mahoney of Evansville, Ind. and Lara (Christopher) Pesavento of Indianapolis, Ind.; one son, Kevin Mahoney of Evansville, Ind.; one granddaughter, Kylie Mahoney; and four brothers, Bob Mahoney of Owensboro, Ky. and John, Chuck and Leo Mahoney of Eldorado.

A memorial service for Larry will be held at 11 a.m.. Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Pierre Funeral Home in Evansville, Ind. Friends may visit with the family from 5 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until service time on Thursday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin St.
