Jennie Landvatter
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Jennie Landvatter, 90, of Ballwin, Mo., passed away Saturday, May 27, 2011, at St. John's Mercy Medical Center.
Jennie was born in Harrisburg on July 1, 1920, a daughter of the late Rosa (Buffo) and Joseph Bolatto.
Jennie was simply a philanthropist. She was always generous with her time and money to many different charities. She spent time as a volunteer at the Holy Infant School, St. Wenceslaus Food Pantry, Missionaries Charity Soup Kitchen and so many others. She spent much of her working career doing many important jobs. She drew pin-up artwork for bombers during World War II, was a shoe designer for Brown Shoe Company and was a co-founder of Landvatter Ready Mix with her ex husband Chuck and his brother Hank. She loved to travel and had the great fortune of travelling the globe, seeing many wonderful parts of the world.
Thelma is survived by a nephew, Joe Bolatto of Evansville, Ind.; four nieces, Patricia Watson of Harrisburg, Regina Bolatto of Okawville, Michelle Vincent of Central City, Ky., and Leanna Bankston of Atlanta, Ga; four great-nephews, William A. Watson of Owensboro, Ky., Ross Vincent of Central City, Ky., Michael Vincent of Bowling Green, Ky., and Michael Bolatto of Evansville, Ind.; two great-nieces, Erin Nelson of St. Louis, Mo., and Claire Bolatto of Evansville, Ind.; and two great-great-nieces, Ann Lawton Watson and Eleanor Hale Watson of Owensboro, Ky.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Mike and Jimmy Bolatto; and a sister, Lena Carrier.
Memorial Mass will be held at Holy Infant Catholic Church, Ballwin, Mo., at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2011, with Mgsr. Thomas Dempsey officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Harrisburg Cemetery.
