Neva Jewel Gibbs Miner

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Neva Jewel Gibbs Miner, 87, of Galatia, passed away at 8:10 p.m. Wednesday June 15, 2011, at the Fountain View Nursing Home in Eldorado.

She was born in Hamilton County on Sept. 8, 1923, to the late Amos and Ina (Campbell) Gibbs. Neva married William Earl Miner on Jan. 24, 1970, in Kankakee, and he preceded on May 24, 2008.

She was a member of the Long Branch Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Audrey Hollinger of Las Vegas, Nev.; and two grandchildren, Avon and Lance Heil.

She was preceded by her parents; husband; and a brother, John Ashley Gibbs, in 1988.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday June 17, 2011, at the Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia with visitation from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Friday at the funeral home. Dr. Harrison Peyton will officiate with burial in the Webber Campground Cemetery.
