After serving in the U.S. Army in Germany, Charles worked for Western Pacific Railroad for 18 years. He moved to Minnesota in 1958. He was a preeminent dealer in antiques, and was a founder and past president of the Minnesota Antiques Dealers Association. He owned the Hudgins Gallery on West Seventh in St. Paul from 1975 to 1998, when he retired for the first time, but he loved antiques so much he subsequently opened new antiques businesses at Antiques Riverwalk, Coe and Channell Antiques, and then Hudgins Art/Antiques.
Special tribute should be paid to his good friends who assisted Charles during his illness: Mark, Donna, Rhonda, Katherine and Terry, and to doctors Katz, Perez, and Drogt, and the staff of Heartland Hospice and Visiting Angels, especially Janessa, Jolene, Dick, Stephanie and Beverly. By their service, they enabled Charles to die at home with dignity as he wished.
At Charles' request, there will be no memorial service. Interment will be in Harrisburg. For memorials or further information, you may contact Terry at (651) 808-6580.
