Federal, state officials will be in county today for assessment

Local emergency management personnel will be guiding the federal and state agencies to areas where damage occurred in Saline County.
The visit is a survey to determine a preliminary damage estimate due to flood waters, according to John Saggese of FEMA.
Saggese made a couple of points: Don't delay your cleaning waiting for them. Take pictures if you want, but start cleaning as soon as possible. Don't worry if they don't visit your specific property. They are doing an assessment and will not need to see every property.
