Mary Lou Reasons Garrett
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mary Lou Reasons Garrett, 91, of Harrisburg, passed away Saturday April 23, 2011, at the Deaconess Hospital, Evansville, Ind.
She was born in Johnston City on Nov. 14, 1919, to Robert Lee and Itelean (Sprague) Shelton.
Mary Lou was a member of the Bankston Fork Baptist church where she was a devoted Christian and a Sunday school teacher.
She is survived by her husband, Verdon Garrett; four children, Anita (Gary) Kingery, Ed (Lisa) Reasons, Martha (Bill) Potter and Helen (Carl) Etienne; three stepchildren, Steve Garrett, Norman Garrett and Cheryl Peterson; 13 grandchildren, Amy Potter, Eric Reasons, Angela Maze, Leigh Pemberton-Cook, Adam Kingery, Matt Etienne, Kim Worlds, Gary Keith Kingery, Ryan Kingery, Evan Worlds, Allyson Worlds, Jessica Kingery and Trevor Kingery; and three great-grandchildren, Tiffanie Maze, Brianna Maze and Luke Etienne.
She was preceded by her parents, first husband, Ed Reasons; two brothers, Eugene and Carl Shelton; and a sister, Opal Tate.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at the Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia with visitation from 9 a.m. to the funeral hour. Burial will be in the Tate's Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Hudson and the Rev. Alan Monroe officiating.
